Robert Bosch GmbH says it is supplying several driver assistance systems across Maserati SpA’s 2018 lineup that enable Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

Bosch’s adaptive cruise control, electric-power-steering (EPS) and lane-centering technologies allow the vehicles to accelerate, brake and steer on highways without driver input. The systems use GPS, long-range radar and camera sensors to track vehicle position, detect nearby objects and otherwise monitor immediate surroundings.

The radar system monitors traffic as far as 200 meters (660 ft) ahead. Bosch says the adaptive cruise control can bring a vehicle to a complete stop if necessary, while lane-marking recognition and EPS keep the vehicle centered within a lane.
