Hyundai Motor Co. has launched a digital showroom on Amazon.com’s vehicle research portal, becoming the first carmaker with such a page on the online car buying site.
Launched two years ago as a competitor to Autotrader and Cars.com, Amazon Vehicles includes detailed information, photos and reviews of thousands of new and used cars. Visitors can compare the pricing, features and performance specs of a model’s various trim levels in side-by-side charts and access safety and recall information.
Hyundai’s showroom provides a pricing calculator, inventory listings and a dealership locator and will allow users to schedule test drives. Online visitors also can view videos about Hyundai's Shopper Assurance program, which includes information about how to best utilize online resources and the carmaker’s financing and exchange policies.
Vehicle detail pages didn’t connect consumers to dealers initially, but they do house extensive product information.
