China’s Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. launched sales of its all-electric GE3 SUV last weekend in Shanghai.

The vehicle, which was unveiled in January at the Detroit auto show, has a driving range of 310 km (193 miles), and its lithium-ion battery can be recharged to 80% of its capacity within 30 minutes, according to the carmaker. The electric motor generates 163 hp and 214 ft-lb of torque.

Pricing in China starts at 150,200 yuan ($22,200). Sales in other markets will start later.

GAC introduced its first hybrid vehicle in 2012 and aims to sell 200,000 hybrids and all-electric models worldwide by 2020. The company is targeting total sales of 1 million vehicles per year by that time. it sold 250,000 vehicles through the first six months of 2017.
