Volkswagen AG, whose diesel emission cheating scandal prompted it to delay its 2015 earnings report and annual meeting, has announced new dates for both.
The company will present its financial report on April 28 in Wolfsburg and hold its shareholder meeting on June 22 in Hanover.
Last autumn VW set aside €6.7 billion ($7.4 billion) to cover recall costs associated with repairing 11 million diesels rigged to evade emission standards. But it has acknowledged that fines, legal settlements and other remedial actions are likely to add considerably more to the overall cost.
The company’s auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers, cautioned in October it could not sign off on the company’s books without a better sense of VW’s financial exposure.
