About 300 workers have struck Tata Motors Ltd.’s small-car assembly plant in Sanand, protesting the suspension of 20 workers for misconduct.
Workers there already were conducting a sit-in strike at the underutilized plant, which makes the Nano minicar and will soon add Tata’s new Tiago mini-hatch, The Economic Times reports. It says production had been continuing during negotiations.
Meanwhile, workers at the company’s Dharwad plant continue their strike that began three weeks ago. Labor talks at both facilities center on wages.
