PSA Peugeot Citroen and IBM have launched a seven-year partnership to develop connected-car services beyond navigation and infotainment.
The initiative, which is headquartered in Paris, expands an agreement last year to develop connected-car services for PSA vehicles to include other industries. The partners aim to involve automotive distribution, retail and "smart-city" initiatives.
PSA and IBM say they intend to create, commercialize and market advanced in-car services, including remote preventative maintenance and traffic management capabilities along with the technologies to support them.
