PSA Peugeot Citroen and Bollore Group have agreed to partner on electric vehicle production and car-sharing schemes.

The companies will begin by launching production of the Bollore-designed Bluesummer, an electric four-seat cabriolet with a range of about 200 km per charge, in September. PSA will build the car at its factory in Rennes, France, at a maximum rate of 3,500 units per year.

PSA and Bollore also will collaborate on car-sharing in Europe involving electric and conventionally powered cars and commercial vehicles.

Bollore also has a production agreement with Renault SA to build Bluecar EVs used in Bollore's car-sharing services in Europe. Renault assembles those vehicles at its specialty-car factory in Dieppe, France.
