Audi AG will take the wraps off its first electric vehicle, the all-new e-tron crossover, on Sept. 17 in San Francisco.
The carmaker intended to unveil the e-tron Aug. 30 in Brussels. Those plans were scrapped last month due to “organizational reasons” likely stemming from the arrest of CEO Rupert Stadler on suspicion of impeding an investigation into Volkswagen AG’s diesel emission cheating scandal.
Sales of the e-tron are due to start later this year in Europe and early next year in the U.S. The carmaker began taking deposits from prospective European buyers earlier this year and will open reservations for U.S. customers in September.
