GM Names New Global Quality Chief

General Motors Co. will expand the responsibilities of Alicia Boler-Davis, who has headed U.S. customer service since February, to include global quality, effective June 1.

General Motors Co. will expand the responsibilities of Alicia Boler-Davis, who has headed U.S. customer service since February, to include global quality, effective June 1. She replaces Terry Woychowski, who is retiring after 32 years at GM.

Boler-Davis will report to Mary Barra, head of global product development, on global quality matters. She will continue to report to North America President Mark Reuss for work related to customer service.

Boler-Davis joined GM in 1994 and held a series of engineering and manufacturing jobs, including chief engineer for small cars and a series of plant manager jobs in Texas and Michigan.
