This is the Caterham Seven 620R. It features a newly engineered, 2.0-liter supercharged Ford Duratec engine that produces 310 hp. The car can go from 0-60mph in under 2.8 seconds.

there isn’t a whole lot to the car, structurally speaking. It is pretty much tires, suspension, drivetrain, cockpit, and a bit of body work. When the car was launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year, Caterham CEO Graham Macdonald said, “The Seven 620R is an extreme piece of kit. We know there is demand for cars that re-write the rules of performance and, if you’re brave enough to take it on, the 620R will be an enormously rewarding, fun car to pilot.” Which generally isn’t the sort of thing you hear a CEO say about a new product.

The minimalism of the Seven has been likened to motorcycles. So perhaps not entirely surprising, the Caterham Group has launched Caterham Bikes.

There are three bikes in the lineup, the Brutus 750

the Classic E-Bike (yes, with an electric motor with a range of 40 to 80 km)

and the Carbon E-Bike (said to be a limited edition model)

Caterham e The Brutus 750 will be the first of the three to be launched, reportedly in the spring of 2014.

Was there ever a more descriptive name than the “Brutus” for that bike?
