There is a lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFEPO4) battery pack with a 91 kWh capacity used. The “realistic range” for the vehicle is 311 miles.
The Concept_One features a carbon fiber monocoque with the battery pack, which is in a milled- and sheet-aluminum housing, integrated. There are carbon fiber subframes in the front and rear. There is a carbon fiber crash structure. Ceramic discs are used for the brakes all around.
Designers involved in the project are former employees of Pininfarina.
Mate Rimac, CEO of the company, who is 24, said of the car, “We started with a blank sheet of paper. The idea was to create an exceptional supercar with a new propulsion concept. What we have here is a fully fledged hypercar that is as powerful as a Bugatti, as stylish as a Ferrari, and as luxurious as a Mercedes, all while managing to forsake even the tiniest sip of gasoline.”
Price? Approximately $1-million.
Should you be making a post-Olympics trip to London, you might want to schedule a visit to the Salon Privé concours, which will be held September 6 and 7 in Syon Park.
