ZF Friedrichshafen AG has opened its first passenger car axle assembly facility in Malaysia.
ZF Friedrichshafen AG has opened its first passenger car axle assembly facility in Malaysia.
The plant in Kulim will make front and rear axle sets from completely knocked down kits for locally produced BMW and Mini cars.
ZF opened a similar facility in Thailand five years ago. The company describes the two countries as among the "next 15 states" where auto sales are expected to climb sharply by 2020.
