VW Settles Diesel Claims with 10 States

Volkswagen AG says it will pay $157 million to settle claims by 10 U.S. states about violating environmental rules with diesels it rigged to evade emission standards.
The agreement covers claims by Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
Last year VW reached a similar settlement for $603 million with 44 states. Today’s agreement covers additional claims by some of those states and their residents.
