Uber Technologies Inc. is testing a $25 monthly subscription plan that offers complimentary Uber Eats food delivery, discounts on ride-hailing trips and free bike and scooter rentals, TechCrunch reports.
The online publication says the scheme is being pilot tested in Chicago and San Francisco. Uber confirms it is evaluating a variety of services and pricing plans but didn’t provide any details.

The new subscription package would build on Uber’s Ride Pass, which debuted in select cities last autumn. That plan, which also costs $25 per month, is limited to discounted rides.
Launched in 2014, Uber Eats provides food delivery from participating restaurants in North America and Europe. Uber initially charged a flat rate of $5 per delivery, but it now bases fees on distance and/or the value of the order.
Uber bought Jump Bikes Inc. for $200 million in April 2018. The Brooklyn, New York-based company offers “dockless” bicycle and scooter rentals in more than 25 U.S. and European cities.
