Toyota Tsusho Corp., a Toyota Motor Corp. affiliate, has signed a development agreement with French startup eBikeLabs SAS and insurance giant Allianz France.
Under a so-called co-acceleration program, the companies aim to develop an Internet of Bicycles platform for the shared ebike mobility market.
Formed in 2015, eBikeLabs says its proprietary control system helps companies launch and manage shared bike fleets. The platform also enables a connect maintenance service and remote locking of any bike in the fleet.
