Federal investigators say a fatal crash of a Tesla Model 3 electric car in March occurred while the vehicle was operating under the carmaker’s semi-autonomous Autopilot control.

The crash in Delray Beach, Fla., occurred at 68 mph on a road with a posted speed limit of 55 mph, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. NHSB says neither the car nor its driver took action to evade impact with a large truck.

Tesla confirms that the driver immediately removed his hands from the steering wheel after activating the Autopilot system. The fatal crash happened 10 seconds later.
