Taiwan is the latest country to order Volkswagen AG to fix diesel engines fitted with software to cheat emission standards, The Nikkei reports.
The country's Environmental Protection Agency wants VW to recall 17,800 Audi, Skoda and VW cars and commercial vehicles equipped with the cheater engines. The agency also says it has halted certification procedures on the targeted models and may levy a fine against the company.
