Suzuki Motor Corp. is halting production at three assembly plants in Japan until Monday because of a shortage of brake components, Reuters reports.
The disruption is due to the same explosion at an Aisin Advics Co. facility on Monday that halted several Toyota Motor Corp. operations earlier this week. The Toyota factories resumed operations today.
Aisin Advics is a subsidiary of J Aisin Seiki Co., a global supplier of automotive powertrain, chassis and body components. Aisin Seiki generates some 3.2 trillion yen ($30 billion) in revenue annually.
