Daimler AG’s Smart brand will unveil a self-driving concept electric vehicle at next month’s Frankfurt auto show.
Smart describes the unnamed model as a fully autonomous car that is ideal for shared urban mobility. The vehicle will be the first to include all four elements of Daimler’s CASE (connected, autonomous, shared and electric) strategy.
The Smart concept’s electric powertrain will be shared with Mercedes-Benz’ new EQ electric brand. An exterior display on the front fascia can provide information and messages to other motorists and pedestrians.
