South Korea has begun an investigation into diesel emissions and noise test cheating that covers all 23 foreign carmakers in the country, Bloomberg News reports.

Korea’s environment ministry says the probe covers 110 models. In early August the agency banned the sale of 80 diesel models marketed by Volkswagen Group and fined the company 17.8 billion won ($16 million) for falsifying reports on emissions and noise tests.

The ministry tells Bloomberg the expanded investigation began last week and is expected to report its results within three months. Foreign-brand cars, including those powered by gasoline engines, account for only about 15% of all car sales in Korea.
