Rolls-Royce Customers Just Say “No” to Diesels
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. customers are not impressed with diesel engines and say they would "absolutely not" consider buying one in a Rolls, according to Autocar, which cites an unnamed source within the company. "They wouldn't entertain the idea," the source says, claiming that customers asked about diesels declared, "We won't buy it." The source also tells Autocar that Rolls-Royce, a unit of BMW AG, "can't imagine" following other ultra-luxury-car makers in offering an SUV model. "We don't chase volume," the source sniffs, "so we're not looking for a volume creator."
