General Motors Co. and equity partner PSA Peugeot Citroen will decide by the end of May whether to erect a €1 billion assembly plant in Brazil, Veja reports.
The Sao Paulo-based news magazine, which cites no sources, says the factory would be located in Rio de Janeiro or Minas Gerais.
GM and PSA formed their partnership in February to share technology, product development, and production worldwide. Their 10-member steering committee held its first formal planning meetings in Detroit two weeks ago.
