Dongfeng Motor general Manager Zhu Fushou tells attendees at the Global Automotive Forum in Wuhan that the new facility will target China's fast-growing high-end SUV market.
The 12.3 billion-yuan ($2 billion) factory is expected to begin operations in 2016 with annual capacity of 360,000 units.
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co. Ltd. currently operates three plants in Wuhan with combined annual capacity of 600,000 vehicles.
