Hyundai Ponders Mexico Production for New Small Car

Hyundai currently makes the Accent in South Korea. The car would be Hyundai’s first model produced in Mexico. Kia plans to use the new factory, which reportedly will have annual capacity for 300,000 vehicles, to produce its Forte small sedan and Rio five-door mini-hatch.
Accent production in Mexico would begin in July 2017 and total about 20,000 units in the first year, rising to 76,000 in 2018 and 100,000 in 2019, according to a Reuters source.
