Honda Waives Labor Costs to Fix Flooded Cars in India
Honda Motor Co.’s India unit is offering to repair customer cars damaged by extensive flooding in Chennai by waiving labor costs and discounting replacement part prices 10%.
The company also is cutting prices 50% on such add-ons as paint protection and antirust coatings.

Honda Motor Co.’s India unit is offering to repair customer cars damaged by extensive flooding in Chennai by waiving labor costs and discounting replacement part prices 10%.
The company also is cutting prices 50% on such add-ons as paint protection and antirust coatings. Honda Cars India Ltd. is asking dealers to rent additional repair space to help process the repairs quickly, The Economic Times reports. The Mumbai-based newspaper says the company is calling in repair technicians from its other dealerships in the region.
In addition, Honda is offering owners with flood-damaged cars discounts worth as much as 30,000 rupees ($453) if they prefer to replace their vehicle with a new model. Car and motorcycle customers also can receive discounts as great as 20,000 rupees ($302) toward the purchase of a new Honda car.
