Honda Motor Co. says it will launch a production version of its new all-electric concept car later this year in China under a new sub-brand called Everus.

The carmaker unveiled the Everus EV concept at this week’s Beijing auto show. The vehicle was developed by Honda and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. as part of their GAC Honda joint venture.

The partners provided no details about the concept model, which appears to be based on Honda’s HR-V subcompact crossover vehicle. In addition to traditional sales, the production Everus EV will be available for rent through Reachstar, a Chinese carsharing startup that is partially owned by Honda.
