Eurozone Growth Slows
Business activity in the eurozone continues to expand, but the pace has slowed, according to Markit Economics' Composite Purchasing Manager's Index.

Business activity in the eurozone continues to expand, but the pace has slowed, according to Markit Economics' Composite Purchasing Manager's Index.
The regional index dropped one point to 52.8 from July to August. Markit says the index for Germany slipped to 54.9 from 55.7. The index for France rose from 49.4 to 50.0. Any number above 50 indicates growth.
The sluggish index, coupled with continuing high unemployment for the eurozone, show a real recovery has not yet begun, Markit says.
