Daimler AG has hired Sajjad Khan, formerly head of BMW AG's advanced Connected Drive system, to lead its own intelligent-car activities, Reuters reports.

Daimler AG has hired Sajjad Khan, formerly head of BMW AG's advanced Connected Drive system, to lead its own intelligent-car activities, Reuters reports.

Daimler, which did not publicly announce the appoint, says Khan began his new assignment in March.

Reuters says Khan worked for the former DaimlerChrysler in 2011, joined Magna International in 2007 and BMW in 2011.
