Continental AG says it will open an artificial intelligence tech center in Budapest in May.
The lab, which will be housed in an existing software facility, will focus on so-called deep machine-learning systems for safety-critical autonomous vehicle technologies.
Conti uses machine learning and neural networks for current driver-assistance systems. The company says deep machine learning will help next-generation technologies detect and evaluate multiple objects and improve the decision-making process in complex environments.
