Continental AG is joining the one-year-old consortium formed by BMW, Intel and Mobileye to develop autonomous vehicle technologies.
The group, which also includes Delphi Automotive, aims to offer autonomous vehicle control systems for multiple carmakers by 2021. Continental says it will serve as a development partner and systems integrator for the alliance.
