Audi to Expand Mobility Services

The carmaker also plans to establish an online platform that will be open to third-party service providers. The system will build on the carmaker’s myAudi smartphone app that allows users to access vehicle information, make payments and manage dealer service appointments.
The announcements were made at Audi’s annual meeting this week in Germany. The company also retierated plans to launch three all-electric vehicles by 2020 and derive about one-third of its sales from electrified models by 2025. The initiative will begin next year with a production version of Audi’s e-tron quattro concept crossover vehicle.
Audi plans to update five of its “core” model series by mid-2018, starting later this year with next-generation versions of the top-end A8 and A7 cars. In addition, the company plans to launch the all-new Q8 and Q4 crossover/SUVs in 2019.
