The ultra-luxury performance marque isn’t developing any advanced driver assist systems and has no immediate plans to do so, David King, vice president and chief special operations officer, tells CarBuzz. While he doesn’t rule out eventually licensing such products from another company, King says Aston Martin will continue to focus on technologies that enhance driving passion and performance.
Aston Martin customers want more track-focused variants of existing models, King notes. To this end, the company plans to offer AMR and AMR Pro variants of all its vehicles in coming years. The company, which launched the performance sub-brand earlier this year earlier this year, also is revving up its lineup with the limited-edition Valkyrie (pictured) and is planning an all-new supercar in 2021.
