A new family of highly engineered stainless steel bar stock has been developed by Carpenter Technology Corporation (cartech.com) specifically for CNC screw machining applications, which means for parts such as fuel injector components, pressure sensors, pumps, and ABS components. PROJECT 70+ PDB stainless bar is available in four grades (Type 303, Type 304/304L, Type 316/316L, and Type 416). There are seven nominal diameters—from 0.2500 to 0.6250 in.—and 144-in. standard lengths.
