Toyota Motor Corp. has released images of the final exterior design for the fuel-cell-powered sedan it will introduce in Japan next April.
The Japanese model will retail for about 7 million yen ($70,000). Toyota hasn't decided what to charge for the car in the U.S. and Europe, where it will debut next summer.
For now, at least, Toyota is calling the swoopy car "Fuel Cell Sedan." The company plans to announce specs, sales targets and perhaps a more imaginative name later. It does say the car's performance and cruising range are similar to a gasoline engine, and refueling time will be about three minutes.
Sales will be limited to areas that already have at least the beginnings of a hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
