Sumitomo Touts V2I Pedestrian Detector
Japan’s Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. says it has developed a vehicle-to-infrastructure communication system that alerts motorists about the presence of pedestrians on streets they are turning onto.
Sumitomo is testing the technology with five police departments in Japan.
