Plastic Omnium SA reports its 2017 revenue rose 15% to €8 billion ($10 billion), and net profit surged 36% to €425 million ($531 million).
The company says it automotive unit, which supplies vehicle interiors and exterior components, saw revenue climb 11% to €7.7 billion ($9.6 billion). By market, last year’s growth advanced 19% in Europe, 13% in North America and 14% in Asia.
Plastic Omnium predicts global vehicle production will increase 2% this year. The company confirms its guidance in December that its automotive business will outperform the market by five percentage points over the coming four years, pushing revenue to €10 billion by 2021.
