General Motors Co.'s Opel unit plans to invest €233 million to broaden testing capabilities in Germany at its product development center in Russelsheim and proving ground in Dudenhofen.
Russelsheim will receive test equipment to help position it as Opel's global development center for next-generation engines and transmissions. The facility will be linked to similar GM centers in Italy and the U.S.
Upgrades for Dudenhofen will give the track the ability to test ultra-low-emission engines.
