Maruti Suzuki Boosts Wages 10% for Temp Workers
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., India’s largest carmaker, has increased the average wage it pays temporary workers by 10%, retroactive to April 2015, The Economic Times reports.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., India’s largest carmaker, has increased the average wage it pays temporary workers by 10%, retroactive to April 2015, The Economic Times reports.
The company’s factories in Gurgaon and Manesar had been paying some 4,000 temporary workers an average 15,500 rupees ($238) each per month, according to the Mumbai-based newspaper.
The increase follows a September pay agreement with the company’s fulltime hourly workers that will boost their monthly wages by 16,800 rupees ($258) over the next three years.
