Los Angeles auto show organizers are combining with the Connected Car Expo they have staged ahead of the show since 2013 to create AutoMobility LA.
The promoters say integrating the two events reflects the changing role of the auto industry in the emerging new mobility movement.
The show preview will begin with an evening reception on Monday, Nov. 14, followed by one day of mobility panel discussions and tech-related press conferences for media and industry executives. Two days of traditional automaker announcements will follow before the show opens to the public on Friday, Nov. 18.
The LA show’s rebranding comes one month after the Detroit auto show revealed it will add AutoMobilit-D, an advanced mobility expo, during media preview days ahead of its next show in early January.
