GM’s Maven to Cut Services in Several Cities
General Motors Co. says it is dropping its Maven car-share and/or short-term leasing service operations in eight of the 17 North American cities in which they currently operate.

General Motors Co. says it is dropping its Maven car-share and/or short-term leasing service operations in eight of the 17 North American cities in which they currently operate.
Among cities that will lose all service in the next few months are Boston, Chicago and New York. Cities that will continue to offer Maven car-sharing include Detroit, Los Angeles, Toronto and Washington, D.C.
It isn’t clear which cities will lose Maven Gig, a service through which drivers can get short-term leases on GM vehicles for use in delivery or ride-sharing work.
Maven says it wants to concentrate availability in markets that have the strongest demand and best growth potential.
