GM Names New Head of Global Quality
General Motors Co. has appointed Tony Francavilla as vice president of global quality, effective immediately.
General Motors Co. has appointed Tony Francavilla as vice president of global quality, effective immediately.
Francavilla, 58, has been leading GM’s quality organization on an interim basis since the end of December, when Grace Lieblein retired after one year as the company’s quality leader. Francvilla is GM’s fourth quality chief in four years.
He will report directly to Chair and CEO Mary Barra. Francavilla formerly was executive director of global supplier quality. He also has held manufacturing assignments in Michigan, Canada and the U.K and was a past managing director of GM Poland.
