GM Boosts Chevy Cruze Output

General Motors Co. has canceled plans to idle its assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio, during the week of Aug. 26 because of strong demand for the Chevrolet Cruze small sedan built there.
Cruze sales in the U.S. through the first seven months of this year jumped 24% to 159,100 units, including a 70% surge to 25,400 vehicles in July.
Chevy dealers ended last month with a 50-day supply of Cruzes, according to Automotive News. a 60-65-day inventory is considered ideal.
