Ford Motor Co. took the wraps off an electric semi-truck with Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities at last week’s IAA commercial truck show in Hannover, Germany.
Dubbed the F-Vision, the concept truck was developed by Ford’s commercial vehicle team in Otosan, Turkey. The streamlined design is said to have been inspired by Marvel superhero characters.
Ford says the truck’s front-end can display and communicate various messages to other road users. Other features include flush doors, cameras in place of side mirrors, LED headlights and a distinctive windshield that blends into the body of the truck.
