Ford Confirms Michigan Plant Will Build Lincoln Continental
Ford Motor Co. has confirmed earlier reports that its Flat Rock assembly plant outside Detroit will produce the company's upcoming Lincoln Continental luxury sedan.
Ford Motor Co. has confirmed earlier reports that its Flat Rock assembly plant outside Detroit will produce the company's upcoming Lincoln Continental luxury sedan.
The Flat Rock plant currently builds the Mustang sport coupe and Fusion midsize sedan. The Continental reportedly will ride on a stretched variant of the Fusion's platform.
The new Lincoln Continental, which was unveiled in concept form in March, is scheduled to go on sale late next year as a 2017 model. Introduced in 1939, the iconic nameplate last appeared in 2002.
