FCA Probes Partnership with Uber

Uber is having similar discussions with other carmakers, and Bloomberg says any deal with FCA is probably months away from being consummated. Another source tells the news service FCA has made initial contacts with Amazon.com about using self-driving vehicles to make deliveries for the online retailer.
Last month FCA and Google confirmed plans to collaborate on a fleet of about 100 self-driving 2017 model Chrysler Pacifica minivans. FCA also has floated the idea of building cars for Apple Inc.
CEO Sergio Marchionne had said he is pursuing multiple partnerships with tech companies as the most pragmatic way for FCA to prepare itself as the auto industry expands into multiple forms of personal transportation and related services.
