The 23-year-old Power study polls new-car owners about their experience in the first 90 days of ownership. Vehicles are ranked according to how many problems are reported per 100 units.
This year's market average is 116 problems per 100 vehicles. Porsche and Jaguar rate 74 and 87 problems, respectively. Fiat scored 206.
Porsche models surpassed all others in the compact premium sporty car (Boxster), midsize premium sporty car (911) and large premium car (Panamera).
Power notes that this year's industry average rose by three problems per 100 vehicles. The study blames the increase on customer problems with such vehicle connectivity features as Bluetooth on all-new models.
