Novi, Mich.-based Cooper Standard Holdings Inc. has opened two more facilities in Shanghai to support current and future customers in Asia.
One of the facilities is a 11,800-sq-ft test center that houses an automotive sealing finish products and materials laboratory, and a separate lab for sealing systems. The latter is the first of its kind to be ISO/IEC accredited in China, according to the supplier.
The other addition is a 12,300-sq-ft sealing prototype center equipped with a complete production line, which Cooper Standard says will help it shorten development lead times. The new facilities follow the company's opening of an Asia Pacific Tech Center in Shanghai three years ago.
