Robert Bosch GmbH plans to open a $40 million factory in Bidadi, India, in 2015 to make diesel fuel injection components.
The facility, which is near Bangalore, will absorb production currently done in nearby Adugodi and repurpose the latter facility to become part of Bosch's Indian engineering and technology center, according to the company. Bosch says the new plant will add capacity and provide more production flexibility.
The Bidadi facility will be Bosch's fifth manufacturing location in India. The company says it plans to invest about $240 million in the country over the next seven years.
