Robert Bosch GmbH is making an undisclosed investment in Canadian startup Mojio Inc., a developer of products that link cars and the internet.
The Vancouver-based cmpany was launched in 2012. One of mojio’s primary focuses is tapping data already being captured in vehicles to create new business opportunities in such areas as vehicle service and insurance. The company also provides services for big-data analytics.
Bosch’s investment is part of Mojio’s second-round funding series. The Canadian company has raised $40 million to date from investors that include Amazon and Deutsche Telekom.
