Designed to help co-workers and neighbors coordinate and share rides, Scoop matches commuters and manages scheduling, routing and payment details. The service, which currently is offered only in the San Francisco Bay area, also has partnerships with Cisco and other companies to coordinate employee carpooling. A “ride-home” guarantee reimburses users for transportation costs if they are left stranded.
BMW also has made several other recent investments in new-mobility companies. It now has partnerships with Moovit, RideCell, Summon, Zendrive and Zirx.
